About Robotech!
Do you remember Robotech? It was a smash hit when it first came out about 2 decades ago. It gained a cult following. It was the story, originally, of a band of human heroes who, equipped with dazzling warrior-mecha machines, fought a hopeless battle against a superior force of invading giant alien warriors known as the Zentradi. :) Since then, the Saga of 108 episodes (3 series) has spawned more than 30 books, several comic book series, and several video games. The original Episodes are availiable in DVD format now, in original and remastered editions. When I grew up, Robotech was my favorite show! I was too young for Star Wars (according to my parents, who forbade me to watch it until I was 16) And Star Trek was a bit too old for me to get into until the movies started coming out. I watched Robotech Constantly. I wore the novels OUT! They actually started falling apart! As a child, I used to run around, pretending I was a Veritech Fighter Pilot out there fighting the Zentradi. "Zoooooom.... Ratatatatatatata.... BANG!" *sings Robotech Song and dances away...*

This is my special take on that story. :)



About This Story
Over a Year ago, I had a dream. I dreamed that I was living in the world of Robotech. I dreamed that I was on board the SDF-1 and I and many of my friends, were locked in the same hopeless war against the Zentradi. In my dream, most of my friends died, and I was left, umm very alone. *frowns* But the dream was so vivid, and so real... I can remember the feel of the deckplates, the cold, metallic sensation of my hand running along the side of my Veritech.

At the time, the dream was very sad for me, and very shocking. But now that I have some distance on it, I feel okay. And this dream has given me a WONDROUS idea for a Robotech Fan Fiction and slightly Alternate Universe Story with characters based on me the people closest to me! Originally, when I created the story, I wrote my incarnation (Raven Black) as the heroine. But because Raven's best friend Mana - the character based on my best friend Annie - is so integrate to Raven's life and is immensely cool in her own respect, I decided to broaden the scope of the story to make both Raven and Mana the central characters!



About "Recollections of Two Fallen Angels"
This fan fiction follows the story of Raven Dark and Mana Kwan, two young women who enroll in the RDF as Veritech Pilots and find themselves thrust into the limelights of the Robotech War. Although I will endeavor to retain the spirit and beauty of the original Robotech Epic, this slightly Alternate-Universe-fiction may differ from the format of the story in certain parts and some characters may be supplemented or replaced in key situatations. If you are looking for a true-to-story retelling of the old story, this should be a fun read, but if you're looking for a completely canonical story, I'm afraid you may not find it here.
